Margaret L. Bloom, Ph.D., Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs and TeachingMargaret Bloom, Ph.D., is one of the two vice provosts of Marquette University. Reporting to the provost, the vice provost for undergraduate programs and teaching has overall responsibility for the evaluation and development of the university undergraduate programs.

As vice provost, Bloom focuses on the quality improvement of undergraduate programs and teaching and learning across the university. She works with the director of the University Core of Common Studies to develop, implement and evaluate the core curriculum and works with faculty and staff in developing procedures for strengthening teaching and assessing student learning.

Bloom joined Marquette in 2004 after serving as dean of the School of Education at Loyola University Chicago. She had been a faculty member at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee, where she coordinated the College of Education’s diversity professional development. Bloom joined Loyola University Chicago in 1997.
