Mary Ladish Selander Mary Ladish Selander was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2000.

She is the director of development for the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Prior to her work with the Lyric Opera, she served as director of marketing for the City of Milwaukee, vice president of marketing for Metro Milwaukee, Inc., marketing director for the Greater Milwaukee Committee, executive director of the Milwaukee Ballet and assistant director of the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University.

She earned a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin — Milwaukee and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin — Madison.

She is an honorary member of the board of directors of the Milwaukee Ballet and previously served as a trustee for the Milwaukee Art Museum.

She is a member of the Marquette University 1881 Society.
